Not all roads to "God" end in salvation. Not all prayers to "God" are received by Him. So many people today are unclear on these points. In the first part of 1 Timothy 2, Paul clearly lays out the priorities of the church: our relationship to God, our collective duty to Him and our fellow man, and God's position, authority and relationship to us through His Son, Jesus.
