Revelation 2, part 1

This Sunday we are delving into the second part of the book of Revelation, with the first of the letters to the seven churches. Though John recorded these messages from Jesus to each individual, actual, historical church in Asia minor, as with the whole of the book, they are for us today as well. As we saw in chapter one, it is "to him who reads".

The main message of this section of the book is: the Church should be a response to who Jesus is. Jesus is the centre. Though each church has its own personality and issues, the Head of the Church is seeking to have each one in line with Him. We will be examining our own lives and drawing application from these precious letters. God's Word never fails to amaze, inspire, correct and instruct. See you Sunday!!

Guest Teacher this Weekend

We are blessed to have Scott Garner with us again from Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel this Sunday. He has been with us earlier this year, in May, and we are thankful for his return. Scott and his wife Leanne have been part of the ministry at RMCC for many years and are prayerfully approaching a church plant in the future.

Revelation 1, part 2

Last week we read of how John heard the magnificent voice of Jesus behind him. This week we will finish chapter 1 with the vision of the glorified Jesus Himself. This revelation of Jesus drives the next section of the book, in chapters 2 and 3. When we see Jesus for who He truly is, it shapes us and our response to Him individually and as a church.

Revelation 1, part 1

We have heard and read of the blessing that is given to those who journey through the book of Jesus' revelation, and what a blessed beginning we have here! Such a rich declaration of praise just in the greeting! Though the greetings in all the New Testament epistles are replete with doctrinal truth, Revelation is somehow set apart. Worship is the theme, and not without good reason after good reason. Jesus is the worthy, soon and coming King!
